Every officer/deputy/trooper is equipped with a Glock 17 handgun.
If your life, or the life of any other is at stake. While making an arrest, unless the suspect is armed and dangerous, you should not use this firearm. This firearm is to protect your safety and the safety of others.

Authorization.
If a suspect is attempting dangerous stunts, you may call in a supervisor through the radio to attempt an authorization of lethal force. If the authorization is approved, lethal force may be used if the suspect does not comply and is endangering others.

If you fail to follow this protocol, you will receive:

First and Second Offense: Warning

Third Offense: Suspension of firearms

Fourth Offense: You will be put on suspension or under review
